Sustainability

Making clothes that have as close to a zero carbon footprint as possible is very important to me. The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. It is more polluting than the shipping and the aviation industries combined. I cannot ignore that my passion and chosen career is one of the most toxic and harmful industries to our environment. 

    

It is up to us as young designers to care, the future of the environment is in our hands. We need to be pro active, ethical, sustainable and strong minded. That is where my purpose begins, without these things mentioned I do not have any direction or inspiration. Without sustainability I do not feel like my creations have any positive impact on society. Sustainability is not boring, at Rashhiiid we are still bright, sexy, loud and original whilst not harming the environment in the making of the fabrics, the dyeing of the fabric or the construction of the garment.
